Employee Spotlight
Palmetto Conservation Foundation has a new Executive Director. For the past 6 years Natalie Cappuccio Britt has served as the Executive Director of the Palmetto Cycling Coalition. The coalition and the state of cycling in South Carolina have made tremendous progress thanks in large part to the leadership, work ethic, professionalism and enthusiasm Natalie brought the cycling community. Beyond the quantifiable measures of success, Natalie has brought with her intangible qualities that will be critical to future successes of PCF. Her talents and skills will help promote exciting changes as we finalize this transition. PCF continues to focus on conservation, preservation and recreation and is excited to have Natalie leading the PCF team as we head into the 2009 year.
Natalie is married to Benjamin Britt and is an avid cyclist who can be seen tooling around Shandon on her mint green Bianchi bike pulling her pugs Harriet and Winston in their trailer.
GOLS: Taking South Carolina Outdoors
Glendale Outdoor Leadership School is finally becoming a household name in Spartanburg. Our strategic marketing, comprehensive programming and friendly instruction is being rewarded with increased attendance at our events and clinics. This renewed interest is coming at the perfect time as the Greenway project on Lawson’s Fork is getting underway. We also welcome Wofford College to GOLS as they will be using our new seminar room for their environmental classes this spring and work with us to develop an adventure education curriculum that will be offered as part of their PE curriculum.
GOLS winter camps are the perfect solution for bored teens and kids over the holiday break. These day long camps will run December 22nd -23rd and 29th -30th from 8:30am until 5pm. $40 for one day and $70 for both days. PCF members get a 15% discount. Check out our schedule for kids of all ages. An entire range of gift certificates are also available.
